RADIO REPORT: What’s Popping At Top 40 Radio This Week (February 25-26, 2019)

It’s time once again to analyze the airwaves and find out if your favorite new releases will be lighting up your local station’s playlist this week. Which tunes will climb to the top and which ones will hit a stop? Here are three songs impacting this week at the Top 40 format:

BILLIE EILISH – “When The Party’s Over” (Darkroom/Interscope)
Album: When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (2019)
Past T40 History: With a massive streaming audience supporting her work, this ballad looks to become her first top 40 entry here.

H.E.R. – “Hard Place” (RCA)
Album: I Used To Know Her: Part 2 (EP) (2018)
Past T40 History: Following a breakout performance at the Grammy Awards, this cut’s big early action should help it along nicely.

PANIC! AT THE DISCO – “Hey Look Ma, I Made It” (Fueled By Ramen/EMG)
Album: Pray For The Wicked (2018)
Past T40 History: “High Hopes” led the Top 40 survey for six weeks recently. Will the follow-up single earn “High” marks as well?

Next week: P!nk looks to color the adds report with her song “Walk Me Home”, but will other impacting releases from NOTD and Rachel Crow paint their own kind of pop success? Stay tuned.

Which of these new songs would you like to see top the charts? Let me know!
