RECORD REWIND: PGTC Picks, 9/17 – 9/23/17

Sunday afternoon means it’s time for the Record Rewind, highlighting the top new tracks that you might’ve missed during the work week, all from my favorite independent acts out there. If it’s on the site, it’s something that you need to check out!

Across the PGTC SoundCloud page and my playlists on Spotify, these stuck out as my favorite independent songs of the week…

_____

SUPER DUPER featuring QUINN LEWIS – “Hollow” (Spotify)
Nashville-based producer Josh Hawkins and singer Lewis have both been featured on the Rewind in the past few months, so if bops are what you want, these men are pretty reliable. Together, they’ve combined to create a super single from Hawkins’s upcoming set.

_____

THRIVING IVORY – “See You” (Spotify)
Has it been a minute since you’ve seen the name of this group? Same here. Yes, this is the same act (performing as a duo) that had a chart song called “Angels On The Moon” on the Hot AC and Top 40 formats in 2008-9, and their newest single is surprisingly good.

For more great new music, these songs are worth a listen…
DERMOT KENNEDY – “Moments Passed” (SoundCloud)
FRILLS – “Magic Tide” (SoundCloud)
OFELIA K – “Killing Me (Go Sun Come Moon)” (SoundCloud)
TRENTON – “Don’t Hide Yourself” (SoundCloud)

Want to be featured on this weekly wrap-up? Submit your music to adamfsoybel@gmail.com and I’ll check our your tunes. Thanks!
