RADIO ACTIVE — A Weekly Chart CHRonicle (November 15, 2020)

Welcome to Radio Active, a Sunday evening report from POP! Goes The Charts that gets to the chart of the matter: all the highlights from the CHR/Top 40 chart, as published by Mediabase 24/7 and Mediabase Research. Make sure to put these records on your new playlist, because these tunes are what’s popping at the format this week:

THE GOLDN RULE: 24KGoldn and Iann Dior aren’t going anywhere fast, as their song “Mood” secures a fourth week at #1 on the Top 40 radio chart. The collaboration also recently led the Rhythmic chart, but has since dropped out of the top spot.

Billie Eilish has a strong start at #34 with her sixth top 40 single, “Therefore I Am”. It also enters the top 40 on the Alternative list this week, while appearing slightly lower in the top 50 at the Hot AC format. Additionally, newcomer Ritt Momney jumps from 41-39 with his first top 40 entry, a cover of Corinne Bailey Rae‘s “Put Your Records On” that is also charting at Alternative radio.

There are three debuts in the top 50 this week: Lil Nas X brings a seasonal sound to the format with “Holiday”, which starts at #46. One spot lower, newcomer Ashnikko is in at #47 with “Daisy”, which recently made the top 40 in the U.K. and Ireland. Lastly, The Kid LAROI achieves his first entry at the format at #50 with “So Done”, which impacts in two weeks.
