RECORD REWIND 2019: PGTC Picks, Week Thirty Eight

Sunday afternoon means it’s time for the Record Rewind, highlighting the top new tracks that you might’ve missed during the work week, all from my favorite small label and independent acts out there. If it’s on the site, it’s something that you need to check out!

Across the PGTC SoundCloud page and my playlists on Spotify, these stuck out as my favorite independent songs of the week…
_____

PICK OF THE WEEK: ONE
FINNEAS – “I Don’t Miss You At All” (Spotify)
Previously on the Rewind: 14th appearance

After debuting “Shelter” a few weeks ago, this next cut from his forthcoming EP titled Blood Harmony (due in two weeks) is a great R&B-influenced cut that runs about two minutes in length. Not just anyone can pull off a F. Scott Fitzgerald reference, but it works!

PICK OF THE WEEK: TWO
LAUV – “Feelings” (Spotify)
Previously on the Rewind: 18th appearance (one as WOOF! IT’S BILLY)

Can’t say we know too many performers that would put out a track under their dog’s name, but the last Lauv single from a couple of weeks back was just that. Now, under his own name, the artist is out with a bubbly new song (check out the video) that really sticks.

_____

For more great new music, these songs are worth a listen…
GOLDTOP x SAM TINNESZ – “Soldiers”
LIME CORDIALE – “Robbery”
MINKE – “Rest”
OVERSTREET – “My Ex”
TONI CORNELL – “Far Away Places”
VINCINT – “Someday”

_____

MINKE – “Maybe 25” (Spotify)
Previously on the Rewind: First appearance
Notes: Following some great social media co-signs, the current single from this London-based singer sounds like a future radio hit.
