It’s time once again to analyze the airwaves and find out if your favorite new releases will be lighting up your local station’s playlist this week. Which tunes will climb to the top and which ones will hit a stop? Here are seven (!) titles impacting this week at the Top 40 format:

AXWELL ^ INGROSSO – “More Than You Know” (Def Jam)

DEJ LOAF – “No Fear” (Columbia)

FERGIE featuring NICKI MINAJ – “You Already Know” (Dutchess/BMG-RED)
Album: Double Dutchess (2017)
Past T40 History: Fergie’s most recent solo top ten hit, “Clumsy”, reached #2 in January 2008. Her last top 40 entry was in 2014.

KELLY CLARKSON – “Love So Soft” (Atlantic/RRP)
Album: Meaning Of Life (2017)
Past T40 History: 15 years ago this week, “A Moment Like This” first debuted at #42. “Soft” should become her 21st top 40 single.

ADD LIB — Brace For (CHR) Impact (September 5, 2017)

Welcome to Add Lib, your Tuesday report on POP! Goes The Charts that’s mad about CHR/Top 40 adds, based on the station data provided by Mediabase 24/7 and Add Board. This week: the color of choice is maroon, and we’ll need about five shades of it. You’ll also find a number of pre-impact singles grabbing some exciting early action from the panel. It’s back to school and work and adds here in Radio Land, so let’s analyze the airwaves:

5 FOR FIGHTING: With this week’s only impacting song at the format, it’s no surprise that Maroon 5‘s “What Lovers Do” is on top of the Most Added list, grabbing 157 stations in its first full frame. It’s the third top 40 song from their upcoming album, which doesn’t have a title or release date at the moment. The track features SZA, who didn’t pick up any additional stations this week for “Love Galore”, her top five hit (featuring Travis Scott) from the Rhythmic and Urban charts. The California band now has 24 top 40 hits here, making them of the most successful groups at the format since the year 2000. How high will it climb? Stay tuned…

“KNOW” MEANS YES: Get knowledgeable with the help of hits from Fergie and Major Lazer! The former performer hits the #3 position on this week’s leaderboard with the Nicki Minaj-assisted “You Already Know”, scoring 22 new stations a week before it officially impacts. It’s likely to become her first top 40 entry since 2014 later this month. The latter act is back in the top ten with a song that’s approaching the top 30, “Know No Better”, which adds another 13 stations (tied for fifth Most Added) to its total. The song features Travis Scott, Camila Cabello and Quavo. If you don’t know, now you “Know” what’s breaking at the format…

1. MAROON 5 featuring SZA, “What Lovers Do” (222/Interscope)
2. HALSEY, “Bad At Love” (Astralwerks/Capitol)
3. FERGIE featuring NICKI MINAJ, “You Already Know” (Dutchess/BMG-RED)
4. DUA LIPA, “New Rules” (Warner Bros.)
