Welcome to Add Lib, your Tuesday report on POP! Goes The Charts that’s mad about CHR/Top 40 adds, based on the station data provided by Mediabase 24/7 and Add Board. This week: Lizzo and Cardi B tackle some rumors and records and end up at the top. Let’s add ’em up:
“RUMORS” HAS IT: With 148 stations on impact, “Rumors” is truthfully the Most Added tune at the Top 40 format, as Lizzo and Cardi B earned a big win on the report. The pair also took in 59 and 57 first-week adds at the Rhythmic and Urban formats, respectively, topping the reports there as well. Last Sunday, the collaboration debuted at #29 on the pop chart and should move up nicely through the fall.
In a distant second place, Billie Eilish secured another 43 stations on impact for the title cut from her recent album Happier Than Ever. It replaces “NDA” at radio, which just peaked at #25 without a bullet last week. Finishing in third place, WizKid landed at 32 new stations on impact with the Justin Bieber and Tems-assisted “Essence”.
Charting singles from Måneskin, Olivia Rodrigo and The Weeknd returned to the top ten on the adds report this week.
We’ll see you next week for another action-packed adds session.
