RECORD REWIND: PGTC Picks, August 26-September 1, 2018

Sunday afternoon means it’s time for the Record Rewind, highlighting the top new tracks that you might’ve missed during the work week, all from my favorite small label and independent acts out there. If it’s on the site, it’s something that you need to check out!

Across the PGTC SoundCloud page and my playlists on Spotify, these stuck out as my favorite independent songs of the week…

LAUV – “Superhero” (Spotify)
Previously on the Rewind: Eleven previous appearances
Notes: Based on a note left at one of his shows, Lauv’s heroic new hit has an understated pop sound that flies above the competition.

LO LO – “Convenient” (Spotify)
Previously on the Rewind: First appearance
Notes: New to my radar, this Canadian performer hooks you with an excellent rhythmic pop sound that serves edge and excitement.

For more great new music, these songs are worth a listen…
ALAYNA – “Between Dusk And Dawn” (SoundCloud)
CHRIS JOBE – “Backwards” (SoundCloud)
ESTEF – “Come Around” (SoundCloud)
WEST COAST MASSIVE featuring BRAYTON BOWMAN – “High & Low” (SoundCloud)

Want to be featured on this weekly wrap-up? Submit your music to adamfsoybel@gmail.com and I’ll check our your tunes. Thanks!
