ADD LIB — Brace For (CHR) Impact (February 23, 2021)

Welcome to Add Lib, your Tuesday report on POP! Goes The Charts that’s mad about CHR/Top 40 adds, based on the station data provided by Mediabase 24/7 and Add Board. This week: the pop panel shifts into overdrive for Conan Gray. Let’s add ’em up:

GRAY SLAYS: As he looks for his third top 40 hit at the format, Conan Gray is off to a great start with “Overdrive”. With 45 adds during the session, it’s the Most Added song at Top 40 radio this week. Labelmates Glass Animals take second place with 41 new commitments on “Heat Waves”, their current top five track on the Alternative radio list. Rounding out the top three, AJR picks up a nice 24 adds for “Way Less Sad”, still two weeks ahead of its official impact date. The release either led or tied for first at both the Alternative and Hot AC formats this week.

Charting singles from Daya, Dua Lipa and Masked Wolf returned to the top ten on the adds report this week.
