Welcome to Add Lib, your Tuesday report on POP! Goes The Charts that’s mad about CHR/Top 40 adds, based on the station data provided by Mediabase 24/7 and Add Board. This week: terrific triple digit wins for Maroon 5 and Taylor Swift‘s latest releases. Let’s add ’em up:
“NOBODY’S” SUPPOSED TO BE HERE: After a day of heavy action, Maroon 5’s “Nobody’s Love” secures the love of the radio panel, picking up 143 Top 40 stations on impact. Finishing in a strong second place, Swift’s “Cardigan” warms up with 110 adds. At this time, the former is headed for a top 30 move by the weekend, while the latter should make a larger debut within the top 40.
Impacting singles from DJ Khaled and Drake (#4), Jeremy Zucker (#6) and Jonas Blue and MAX (#8) also reached the top ten on impact, but with significantly smaller totals. “Popstar” is already inside the top 50 at the format. The latter two entries could enter the region (with continued support) during the latter part of August.
Charting singles from Avenue Beat and the late Juice WRLD returned to the top ten on the adds report this week.
We’ll see you next Tuesday for another adds recap!
