RECORD REWIND 2020: PGTC Picks, Week Twenty Three

Sunday afternoon means it’s time for the Record Rewind, highlighting the top new tracks that you might’ve missed during the work week, all from my favorite small label and independent acts out there. If it’s on the site, it’s something that you need to check out!

Across the PGTC SoundCloud page and my playlists on Spotify, these stuck out as my favorite independent songs of the week…

_____

PICK OF THE WEEK: ONE
GRIFFIN OSKAR – “Answer” (Spotify)
Previously on the Rewind: Second appearance

Singer and songwriter Oskar is back with the follow-up to “We Don’t Get High (Like We Used To)”, a track that was featured on the Rewind in April. Co-written with Isaiah Tejada, known for his work with Britney Spears and Maroon 5, Oskar’s got another winner.

PICK OF THE WEEK: TWO
JOHN SPLITHOFF – “Go Somewhere” (Spotify)
Previously on the Rewind: Third appearance

This artist has been off the Rewind for a few years during his time with Warner Music’s East West label, where he released an EP in 2018 and some assorted tracks. Now, back with a self-released project, Splithoff delivers another smooth musical trip for your ears.
