RECORD REWIND 2020: PGTC Picks, Week Sixteen

Sunday afternoon means it’s time for the Record Rewind, highlighting the top new tracks that you might’ve missed during the work week, all from my favorite small label and independent acts out there. If it’s on the site, it’s something that you need to check out!

Across the PGTC SoundCloud page and my playlists on Spotify, these stuck out as my favorite independent songs of the week…
_____

PICK OF THE WEEK: ONE
PHOEBE RYAN – “Ring” (Spotify)
Previously on the Rewind: Third appearance

If Ryan’s name rings a bell, you may remember her time with Columbia Records when she released a number of tracks that did well in the streaming world, including 2015’s “Mine” and 2017’s “Dark Side”. Though she’s now independent, her music is still very nice.

PICK OF THE WEEK: TWO
RAINSFORD – “2 Cents” (Spotify)
Previously on the Rewind: Sixth appearance

This is the sixth appearance to date on the Rewind for the daughter of actress Andie MacDowell and the talent definitely runs in the family. As she continues to carve a path in the electronic and synth-pop world, her stunning new single is worth much more money.

For more great new music, these songs are worth a listen…
ANSON SEABRA – “Emerald Eyes”
CAPPA featuring YUPPYCULT – “Change My Mind”
GIRL IN RED – “Midnight Love”
HANNAH GRACE – “Wasted Love”
