ADD LIB — Brace For (CHR) Impact (March 3, 2020)

Welcome to Add Lib, your Tuesday report on POP! Goes The Charts that’s mad about CHR/Top 40 adds, based on the station data provided by Mediabase 24/7 and Add Board. This week: Justin Timberlake! SZA! Lady Gaga! Huge totals! After a crazy night, it’s time to recap it all. The votes have been cast, so let’s add ’em up:

THE OTHER SIDE OF LOVE: After a slightly delayed ending to the session tonight, both “Stupid Love” by Lady Gaga and “The Other Side” by SZA x Justin Timberlake are tied for the Most Added song at the Top 40 format, earning 178 stations each. The pair of surging singles cracked the top 30 on last Sunday’s published update and are headed for higher peaks this coming weekend. Not bad for a Super Tuesday…

The emerging duo Surfaces also managed to rank well with their first song to impact here, “Sunday Best”. It started in third place with 31 stations this week. The tune, which found a second life from TikTok recently, looks bound for the top 50 by the weekend.

Charting songs from Doja Cat, Lauv and Roddy Ricch are among those returning to the top ten on this week’s report.

The new tracks from 5 Seconds Of Summer and Demi Lovato are likely to lead the way on next Tuesday’s adds report, though quite a few additional titles are also on the schedule.
