ADD LIB — Brace For (CHR) Impact (November 12, 2019)

Welcome to Add Lib, your Tuesday report on POP! Goes The Charts that’s mad about CHR/Top 40 adds, based on the station data provided by Mediabase 24/7 and Add Board. This week: Zedd and Kehlani earned the strongest results of any impacting tune on the report, but does their good thing endure at the top? Let’s add ’em up:

ONE “GOOD” EVENING: After a tight race for most of the day, Zedd and Kehlani’s “Good Thing” edged ahead at the end with a nice first week total of 41 stations, just a handful of adds ahead of some established hits: Tones And I‘s “Dance Monkey” (40) and Dua Lipa‘s “Don’t Start Now” (38). “Good” is already racing towards the top 50 and will probably get there in the next few days. A spot lower than Lipa is another impacting record, “RITMO (Bad Boys For Life)” by the Black Eyed Peas and J Balvin. It secures that fourth place finish with 35 stations on impact. The collaboration earned an additional 16 adds at the Rhythmic format, picking up the same rank of fourth place.

Elsewhere, MAX and Chromeo tied for fifth place on the log with two dozen stations adding “Checklist” this week. Recent singles from acts like Kesha and Louis Tomlinson are among the titles extending their run in the top ten.

There’s a “Sugar” rush coming next week on behalf of BROCKHAMPTON, who impact at the format for the first time.
