RADIO REPORT: What’s Popping At Top 40 Radio This Week (October 28-29, 2019)

It’s time once again to analyze the airwaves and find out if your favorite new releases will be lighting up your local station’s playlist this week. Which tunes will climb to the top and which ones will hit a stop? Here are four tracks impacting this week at the Top 40 format:

AJR – “Dear Winter” (S-Curve/Hollywood)
Album: Neotheater (2019)
Past T40 History: After being pushed back several times now, the trio will be going for their fourth top 40 entry at the pop format.

ISABELA MERCED – “Papi” (Republic)
Album: TBA (2019/2020)
Past T40 History: Actress and singer Merced impacts at the Top 40 format for the first time. Early airplay for the single is limited.

KESHA featuring BIG FREEDIA – “Raising Hell” (Kemosabe/RCA)
Album: High Road (2020)
Past T40 History: Big Freedia was previously heard (but not credited) on Drake’s hit “Nice For What”, which went to #12 in 2018.

SELENA GOMEZ – “Lose You To Love Me” (Interscope)
Album: TBA (2019/2020)
Past T40 History: As this ballad holds steady at #1 on iTunes and Spotify, it should easily claim the top spot on this week’s report.

Next week: Dua Lipa‘s “Don’t Start Now” should start pretty well on next Tuesday’s report, as Louis Tomlinson‘s “We Made It” also competes for a spot in the top five.
