ADD LIB — Brace For (CHR) Impact (July 9, 2019)

Welcome to Add Lib, your Tuesday report on POP! Goes The Charts that’s mad about CHR/Top 40 adds, based on the station data provided by Mediabase 24/7 and Add Board. This week: it’s all about the “Goodbyes”. No, not to summer or this weekly post, but a track that’s been lighting up the pop airwaves since the weekend. Let’s add ’em up:

THE BIGGEST POST OF THE SUMMER: With their first collaboration to chart at the pop format, Post Malone and Young Thug are saying hello to the top spot on the weekly adds report with “Goodbyes”, opening with 132 stations on impact. The song is also atop the log at the Rhythmic radio format, earning 51 stations there. The cut made its chart debut at #35 on the official update last Sunday and should see a nice climb this week following its robust add total.

Ellie Goulding and Juice WRLD‘s “Hate Me” also scored a very solid 42 stations on impact and a second place finish. This tune also charted on Sunday, entering at #48, and should be well on its way towards the top 40 now. Yesterday, the single picked up ten stations at the Hot AC format, ranking in third place on that list.

Rounding out the top three and charging ahead with a total of 30 stations, Kaskade and Meghan Trainor‘s “With You” was also in good shape on the report.

Building titles from the Blanco Brown, the Jonas Brothers and Lewis Capaldi are among those rounding out the top ten.
