Welcome to Add Lib, your Tuesday report on POP! Goes The Charts that’s mad about CHR/Top 40 adds, based on the station data provided by Mediabase 24/7 and Add Board. This week: Miley Cyrus adds to the Top 40 family during a slower week on the adds report. Let’s add ’em up:
SHE IS COMING… TO POP RADIO: Cyrus’s “Mother’s Daughter”, from her EP titled She Is Coming, grabs 49 stations during its impact week and the freedom to become the Most Added song at the Top 40 format this Tuesday. That total is much lower than some of the triple digit finishes we’ve seen in recent weeks, though the cut is still its on way towards the top 50 for the official chart on Sunday. The full EP registered a top ten debut on the most recent update of the Billboard 200 list.
Much of the rest of the top ten is filled with familiar names, including Ally Brooke and Lizzo, though individual adds totals for a lot of songs trailed off beyond the top five. For instance, six songs tied for tenth place with a meager seven adds, which is fairly low for that position. Alas, these kinds of weeks occasionally happen…
Next week, impacting releases from LIVVIA and Tove Lo, as well as the current Alternative chart single from Illenium and Jon Bellion, join the pop parade.
