ADD LIB — Brace For (CHR) Impact (June 4, 2019)

Welcome to Add Lib, your Tuesday report on POP! Goes The Charts that’s mad about CHR/Top 40 adds, based on the station data provided by Mediabase 24/7 and Add Board. This week: it’s a Perry pop party, as Katy Perry‘s latest single blasts to the top of the list and leads a top three full of hot impacting titles. Let’s add ’em up:

A “REALLY” GOOD START: Just ten stations away from clearing the whole panel, Katy Perry easily earns the Most Added title on this week’s Top 40 report with “Never Really Over”, securing 173 stations on impact. This total is one station less than her Skip Marley-assisted “Chained To The Rhythm” earned in its first week back in February 2017, which spent two weeks at #8 that April before quickly crashing off the survey after 14 total weeks. “Never” made its debut in the top 30 last Sunday and should easily blast into the top 20 by the weekend.

Two collaborations nearly tied for second place, but “Call You Mine” from The Chainsmokers featuring Bebe Rexha earned 66 stations in the session, just one add ahead of third place entry “Find U Again” from Mark Ronson and Camila Cabello. Both of these songs will easily score notable debuts on Sunday night’s update: “Call” has the edge for a move into the top 40 at this point.

Elsewhere in the top ten, you’ll find more music from 5 Seconds Of Summer, Ally Brooke, Lizzo, SHAED and others.

Next week, Russ‘s “Civil War” battles for a spot in the top ten, but more warriors await him on the battlefield. Stay tuned!
