Chart Notes:

  • Climbing from 3-1 this week, “Timebomb” becomes the fifth #1 on my personal chart for the Ohio band Walk The Moon. They last led my top 40 in late 2017 with “One Foot”, which had a six-week run at the summit. Hot singles from Kacey Musgraves, P!nk and Rob Thomas move up the most positions on the current update, with Thomas’s “One Less Day (Dying Day)” climbing the furthest, up a huge 11 spots to #26. John Mayer‘s “I Guess I Just Feel Like” leads a pack of three debuts on the countdown, coming in at #34. This track follows “New Light”, which held in the #2 spot for two weeks on my list last year. Billie Eilish scores her first chart single at #37 with the song “When The Party’s Over”, one of two active radio tracks from the highly-anticipated album When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, due at the end of the month. As “When” soars at the Top 40 format, the other tune, “Bury A Friend”, is nearing the top 20 on the Alternative chart. Finally, at #38, Julia Michaels and Niall Horan team up for the collaboration “What A Time”, the lead radio single from the former artist’s recent EP Inner Monologue, Pt. 1. The song recently went for adds at the Top 40 format during the same week as Eilish’s record noted above, earning over three dozen adds in a week.
