Chart Notes:

  • As the Las Vegas group Imagine Dragons remains at #1 for the second week with “Bad Liar” and Kacey Musgraves climbs from 26-16 with “Rainbow”, the week’s Biggest Mover, two top 40 veterans with multiple chart-toppers enter the list with their new hits. In at #31, P!nk has the higher of the two debuts with “Walk Me Home”, which isn’t a hot remake of the 2000 chart entry performed by Mandy Moore. This “Walk” is the lead single from her forthcoming album Hurts 2B Human, due in April. Look out for its splashy debut in the top 25 on the Hot AC survey. A tune that just missed the top 40 on that list this week, but is likely to enter soon, comes in at #37 on my own list: “One Less Day (Dying Young)” from Rob Thomas. His forthcoming album Chip Tooth Smile is also due in April. Thomas has the distinction of reaching the summit as both a solo artist and with the band Matchbox Twenty, but he’s had more #1 hits on my chart outside of the act. Will either of these entries bloom at the top this spring? We’ll find out soon.
