- After spending three weeks at #1 last year with their single “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart”, the Backstreet Boys return to the top with “Chances”, leaping from 4-1. This is the first time the band has achieved back-to-back chart-toppers on my list since 2001. Both “Don’t” and “Chances” can be found on the group’s forthcoming album DNA, out in just under two weeks. The Biggest Mover this week rises up twelve spots from 37-25, and that belongs to “Bad Liar” by Imagine Dragons. Look for the track to earn some solid airplay by the end of January, when it impacts at the Triple A and Alternative formats. This week’s Highest Debut belongs to an act that’s searching for their fifth #1 title on my chart, Walk The Moon. “Timebomb” is new at #35. One notch lower, with their first chart entry since the fall of 2002, Westlife climbs aboard at #36 with their comeback hit “Hello My Love”. It’s already topped the iTunes lists in the United Kingdom and Ireland. One last debut, new at #40, pairs Calvin Harris and Rag’N’Bone Man for their first collaboration together. “Giant” will be looking for some giant Top 40 radio success when it impacts on January 22.
