Chart Notes:

  • Congrats to Marshmello and Bastille, who claim this week’s new #1 song on my personal chart with “Happier”. It also leads the Alternative radio chart for its first week. The collaboration is Marshmello’s first #1 hit on my top 40 and Bastille’s fourth: the band previously reached the top with 2013’s “Pompeii”, 2014’s “Of The Night” and their most recent, 2016’s “Good Grief”. Up nine spots to #19, Maggie Rogers has the week’s Biggest Mover for the second time with “Light On”. Of the week’s three new entries, Kelly Clarkson‘s “Heat” debuts the highest, coming in at #38. It’s the third top 40 tune from Meaning Of Life, with “Love So Soft” (#2) and “I Don’t Think About You” (#5) both becoming larger hits. Scott Helman is new at #39 with the title song from a three track release called Hang Ups. He has three top ten songs to date; his biggest, “Kinda Complicated”, reached #4 last year. Lastly, at #40 this week, Irish act Picture This earns their second chart record with “One Drink”. It impacts at the Hot AC format this Monday.
