Chart Notes:

  • George Ezra now has his longest-running #1 song on my chart with “Shotgun”, spending its fourth week at the summit. It’s the third single from his album Staying’s At Tamara’s, which is sure to produce even more hits as the year goes on. Two songs reach the top 40 this week, led by the first collaboration for Silk City (the duo featuring Diplo and Mark Ronson) and Dua Lipa at #38. “Electricity” is sparking on the sales and streaming charts ahead of its impact date at the Top 40 format this Tuesday. You’ll recall that Lipa spent five weeks at #1 on my chart earlier this year with “One Kiss”, a collaboration with Calvin Harris. It’s also a great week for Ariana Grande, who starts at #39 with “Breathin”, which charts concurrently with her prior Sweetener singles “God Is A Woman” (currently #11) and “No Tears Left To Cry” (#23). While “God” has yet to peak, “No” spent five weeks at #2.
