NEW MUSIC FRIDAY: Releases For The Week of May 11, 2018

The moment of Puth.

Yes, Mother’s Day is approaching quickly, and while this certainly isn’t the mother of all release weeks, there are still lots of top titles to be enjoyed by both you and your mama. Here are the notable digital and physical releases making moves this Friday:

CHARLIE PUTH – Voicenotes (iTunes)
Featuring “Attention”, “How Long” and the Kehlani-assisted “Done For Me”, Puth’s new album is already packed with radio records, with a number of other cuts likely to hit the charts in the coming months. The performer’s debut album, Nine Track Mind, peaked at #6 in early 2016. Though it’ll be faced with several streaming-led urban releases as competitors, Puth’s effort has the potential to break the top five.

ARCTIC MONKEYS – Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino (iTunes)
No songs from this album were issued prior to its release date, a rarity in the business nowadays, so it’ll be interesting to see how their fans react to it. (Initial critical reviews of the set range from mixed to positive.) The group’s most recent studio album, 2013’s AM, entered at #6 on the Billboard 200; their new set could be headed into the top ten as well.

Notable albums out this week: Beach House‘s 7 (iTunes), Brent Cobb‘s Providence Canyon (iTunes), courtship.‘s Denial In Paradise (iTunes), Marian Hill‘s Unusual (iTunes), Sevendust‘s All I See Is War (iTunes)
