NEW MUSIC FRIDAY: Releases For The Week of May 4, 2018

A Rae of light.

Three is better than one, but you’ll have at least seven days before these releases become old news. From the fun with numbers department to the numbers of new projects out today, here are the albums and singles you need to know on digital services and in stores this Friday:

RAE SREMMURD – SR3MM (iTunes)
At 27 tracks over three albums, one set by the duo and two solo sets by each of its members, this release should easily claim the top spot on next week’s Billboard 200 chart, as long as all three are counted together. Lead single “Powerglide”, which features Juicy J, is safely in the top ten on the Urban chart and approaching the region on the Rhythmic list.

SHINEDOWN – Attention Attention (iTunes)
This rock group will be back in the top ten on the double double (or so I think) with their sixth studio album, featuring the former #1 single on the Active Rock chart, “Devil”. How angelic will its debut end up? You’ll have to wait and see.

Notable albums out this week: Lake Street Dive‘s Free Yourself Up (iTunes), Leon Bridges‘s Good Thing (iTunes), Mat Kearney‘s CRAZYTALK (iTunes), Matt & Kim‘s Almost Everyday (iTunes), Preme‘s Light Of Day (iTunes), Royce Da 5’9″‘s Book Of Ryan (iTunes)
