ADD LIB — Brace For (CHR) Impact (April 10, 2018)

Welcome to Add Lib, your Tuesday report on POP! Goes The Charts that’s mad about CHR/Top 40 adds, based on the station data provided by Mediabase 24/7 and Add Board. This week: Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa pucker up for a pop event, delivering their smooches (and stations) to the top of the report, while Charlie Puth and Kehlani fall just behind. Let’s add ’em up:

“ONE” ON ONE: After landing just shy of the top 30 on last Sunday’s published update, “One Kiss” plants a smooch at the top of the current adds report at the CHR/Top 40 format. Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa‘s collaboration starts with 87 stations, which is a notable sum on this very slow week. (Just three songs make it over a dozen adds this week. Yikes!) The hot song is expected to be on Harris’s next studio album, due sometime later this year. It reached the top ten on iTunes when it debuted on Friday.

After landing in sixth place last week, “Done For Me” from Charlie Puth featuring Kehlani moves up to the runner-up slot, with a total of 45 stations on impact. Puth’s collaboration with G-Eazy, “Sober”, still ranks in the top ten, with another nine stations (in eighth place) this Tuesday, while Kehlani’s collaboration with Eminem, “Nowhere Fast”, just missed the top ten.

Let’s hope the format comes back to life on Tax Day…
