It’s time once again to analyze the airwaves and find out if your favorite new releases will be lighting up your local station’s playlist this week. Which tunes will climb to the top and which ones will hit a stop? Here are three new releases impacting this week at the Top 40 format:

NIALL HORAN – “On The Loose” (Capitol)
Album: Flicker (2017)
Past T40 History: This is Horan’s fourth single off his current solo set; the biggest, “Slow Hands”, spent two weeks at #1 last year.

SEAN PAUL & DAVID GUETTA featuring BECKY G – “Mad Love” (Island/Republic)
Album: TBA (2018)
Past T40 History: Paul has nine top 40 songs as the lead artist at this format, including his three-week #1, 2006’s “Temperature”.

WHY DON’T WE – “Trust Fund Baby” (Atlantic)
Album: TBA (2018)
Past T40 History: The group’s lone chart song to date, “Something Different”, spent three weeks at #33 last fall. How will this do?

Next week: Format newcomer Bazzi and “New Rules” hitmaker Dua Lipa lead a busy week at the format, while also includes the current Alternative hit by an act that’s had two top 40 entries at this format, AJR.
