Chart Notes:

  • New Top 40 radio singles from Kesha and Maroon 5 are this week’s two debuts on my personal chart. “Woman”, which is at #38, teams the former act with The Dap-Kings Horns, who played with the late Sharon Jones. Kesha is coming off her biggest hit to date on my chart, “Praying”, which spent four weeks at #1 and falls to #33 this week. The latter group’s “Wait” (#40) marks the fourth single from the deluxe edition of Red Pill Blues and the follow-up to the SZA-assisted “What Lovers Do”, which peaked at #6 and currently sits at #14. They have six #1 songs to date, their last coming in 2012.
  • Watch out for the Top 100 of 2017 starting tomorrow! It’s going to be a fun one. Stay tuned for lots of great music…
