NEW MUSIC FRIDAY: Releases For The Week of November 10, 2017

Swiftly soaring to #1.

Taylor. Swift. I mean, what else is there to fan out for this week? (There are other options, but it’s clear that her new album leads the way.) Here are the albums and singles you need to know about this Friday:

TAYLOR SWIFT – reputation (iTunes)
Most acts stayed away from this release date because of Swift’s new album, which will easily hit #1 on next week’s Billboard 200. It includes the former #1 single “Look What You Made Me Do”, which has experienced the sharpest three-week fall from the top position on the Top 40 chart since the plays-per-week era began. (Follow-up “…Ready For It?” is currently in the top 15.) Still, it looks like it’ll be another huge first week for Swift, even if the era doesn’t have legs.

WALK THE MOON – What If Nothing (iTunes)
Besides Ms. Swift, this Ohio group, who I’m a big fan of, is also out with their first studio album in three years. So far, lead single “One Foot” has hit the top ten on the Alternative chart, though it’s now crossing over to the Hot AC and Top 40 airwaves. A solid debut is likely for it, perhaps in the top 25.

More albums out this week: Bleachers‘s MTV Unplugged (iTunes), Elton John‘s Diamonds (iTunes), Evanescence‘s Synthesis (iTunes), Seal‘s Standards (iTunes), Justice League (Soundtrack) (iTunes)
