RADIO REPORT: What’s Popping At Top 40 Radio This Week (October 23-24, 2017)

It’s time once again to analyze the airwaves and find out if your favorite new releases will be lighting up your local station’s playlist this week. Which tunes will climb to the top and which ones will hit a stop? Here are seven fresh singles impacting this week at the Top 40 format:

ALEX AIONO featuring TRINIDAD CARDONA – “Does It Feel Like Falling” (Interscope)
Album: TBA
Past T40 History: Both soloists are newcomers here. Cardona’s song “Jennifer” has some minor airplay from the Rhythmic panel.

BEBE REXHA featuring FLORIDA GEORGIA LINE – “Meant To Be” (Warner Bros.)
EP: All Your Fault: Pt. 2 (2017)
Past T40 History: Rexha’s had ten top 40 titles since her first in 2014, one going to #1. The country duo has three pop hits to date.

CHEAT CODES featuring FETTY WAP – “Feels Great” (300 Entertainment/in2une)
Album: TBA
Past T40 History: The EDM trio is coming off a #6 song in “No Promises”, while the New Jersey rapper looks for his sixth pop hit.

CNCO & LITTLE MIX – “Reggaetón Lento (Remix)” (Syco/Columbia)
Album: Primera Cita (2016) (original version)
Past T40 History: The male quintet is new here, while the female quartet has three top 40 singles to date. In the U.K., it got to #5.

LIAM PAYNE – “Bedroom Floor” (Republic)
Album: TBA
Past T40 History: Payne topped the pop chart two weeks ago with “Strip That Down”, which falls to #4 on the most recent survey.

LORDE featuring POST MALONE, KHALID & SZA – “Homemade Dynamite (Remix)” (Lava/Republic)
Album: Melodrama (2017) (original version)
Past T40 History: The New Zealand performer has four top 40 songs to date. Her previous entry, “Green Light”, hit #19 in March.

NF – “Let You Down” (Capitol CMG/Caroline)
Album: Perception (2017)
Past T40 History: “Down” just made top 50 at this format, becoming his first chart single. His latest album recently entered at #1.

Next week: The latest singles from Avicii and Rita Ora, as well as Harry Styles, are among next Tuesday’s top contenders.
