RADIO REPORT: What’s Popping At Top 40 Radio This Week (September 18-19, 2017)

It’s time once again to analyze the airwaves and find out if your favorite new releases will be lighting up your local station’s playlist this week. Which tunes will climb to the top and which ones will hit a stop? Here are five singles impacting this week at the Top 40 format:

ASTRID S – “Think Before I Talk” (Island/Republic)
Album: TBA
Past T40 History: The Norwegian performer has yet to chart here, though “Hurts So Good” did receive a little pop airplay last fall.

FIFTH HARMONY – “He Like That” (Syco/Epic)
Album: Fifth Harmony (2017)
Past T40 History: After “Down” failed to break the top 20, will the group rebound with the second single from their self-titled set?

IMAGINE DRAGONS – “Thunder” (KIDinaKORNER/Interscope)
Album: Evolve (2017)
Past T40 History: The Las Vegas group is back in pop radio’s good graces, having just reached #3 earlier this year with “Believer”.

NICK JONAS – “Find You” (Island/Republic)
Album: TBA
Past T40 History: Jonas is looking for his seventh solo top 40 hit at the format, the biggest of which was “Jealous”, a one-week #1.

ZAYN featuring SIA – “Dusk Till Dawn” (RCA)
Album: TBA
Past T40 History: Going for his fifth chart song, Malik is the one member of One Direction not currently in the top 40 at this time.

Next week: Charly Black and Luis Fonsi bring their “Party” onto pop playlists, while Ed Sheeran has a “Perfect” solution for a station in need of a hit…
