RECORD REWIND: PGTC Picks, 9/3 – 9/9/17

Sunday afternoon means it’s time for the Record Rewind, highlighting the top new tracks that you might’ve missed during the work week, all from my favorite independent acts out there. If it’s on the site, it’s something that you need to check out!

Across the PGTC SoundCloud page and my playlists on Spotify, these stuck out as my favorite independent songs of the week…

CAPE CUB – “Flowers” (iTunes) (Spotify)
It feels like we’ve been waiting forever for the return of Chad Male and Cape Cub, with his most recent tunes dropping in November of last year on an EP called 6am. With “Flowers” firmly in bloom, the radio potential on this electropop release is certainly growing.

MATT WOODS – “Craving” (iTunes) (Spotify)
Serving vocals and giving me life once more, Woods’s second single from his forthcoming EP, and the follow-up to “Nervous”, has a way of pulling you in and sticking around in your brain. He effortlessly glides through this smooth neo soul single. It is really lovely.

UNION MOON – “Red Bow” (iTunes) (Spotify)
This is the first time on the Rewind for Union Moon, though his pack of three singles to date is pretty good. If you know the work of The Fray, then you may already be aware that this is member Joe King’s solo effort. “Red” is a solid pick for an early morning listen.

For more great new music, these songs are worth a listen…
DANIELLA MASON – “Cover The Earth” (SoundCloud)
FINNEAS – “I’m In Love Without You” (SoundCloud)
LELAND featuring ALLIE X – “Mattress (Valley Girl Remix)” (SoundCloud)

Want to be featured on this weekly wrap-up? Submit your music to and I’ll check our your tunes. Thanks!
