NEW MUSIC FRIDAY: Releases For The Week of July 28, 2017

Now is the time for chart glory.

There’s a sizable Fire burning among the albums being released this week, and plenty of notable names from the worlds of pop, rap and rock music. Here are the albums and singles you need to know this Friday:

ARCADE FIRE – Everything Now (iTunes)
With two #1 albums in a row, it’s no surprise that the fifth studio release by this Canadian sextet is the leading contender for the top spot next week. The title track from it is currently in the top 20 on the Alternative chart, and #1 on the Triple A list. Many of the reviews for it appear to be mixed thus far, though it’s still early on in the process.

CAGE THE ELEPHANT – Unpeeled (iTunes)
Led by the single “Whole Wide World”, this is a new live album by the Kentucky band, featuring both singles and album cuts off their past studio albums. Their previous release, 2015’s Tell Me I’m Pretty, had a top 30 peak and gave them two #1 titles on the Alternative chart. Will this set achieve the same results? Stay tuned!

JULIA MICHAELS – Nervous System (iTunes)
This singer has plenty of notable hits to her credit as a songwriter, and she entered the top ten on both Hot AC and Top 40 radio earlier this year with “Issues”. Now, follow-up “Uh Huh” is making some solid gains at the latter format. You’ll find these singles and more on this seven-song set.
