RADIO REPORT: What’s Popping At Top 40 Radio This Week (July 17-18, 2017)

It’s time once again to analyze the airwaves and find out if your favorite new releases will be lighting up your local station’s playlist this week. Which tunes will climb to the top and which ones will hit a stop? Here are the four new tunes impacting this week at the Top 40 format:

DAVID COOK – “Gimme Heartbreak” (Analog Heart Music/INgrooves)
EP: TBA (Fall 2017)
Past T40 History: The American Idol winner has three entries to date, last charting with 2009’s “Come Back To Me”, a #46 entry.

DEMI LOVATO – “Sorry Not Sorry” (Republic)
Album: TBA
Past T40 History: Of her dozen top 40 tunes, only one has hit #1: 2012’s “Give Your Heart A Break”, which spent two weeks there.

JORGE BLANCO – “Summer Soul” (Hollywood)
Album: TBA
Past T40 History: This is Blanco’s first single to impact here. The 25-year-old is also an actor with Disney Channel Latin America.

KESHA – “Praying” (Kemosabe/RCA)
Album: Rainbow (2017)
Past T40 History: “Praying” was last week’s Most Added title. The performer’s had a dozen top 40 hits, four reaching the top spot.
