Chart Notes:

  • This week’s Highest Debut is by a newcomer, Minnesota native Julia Brennan. She’s new at #39 with “Inner Demons”. It’s been a big year for Brennan, who recently signed to Columbia Records after her song was aired (and now, added) on KDWB, the influential CHR/Top 40 station in the Minneapolis area. “Demons” has also been spun during specialty programming on SiriusXM station The Pulse.
  • London singer Martin Luke Brown has his fifth top 40 entry on my chart with “Shadow & Light”, illuminating at #40. His biggest chart hit so far is “Nostalgia”, which reached #7. Though he’s back to independent status, Brown continues to make a lot of great (and meaningful) songs.
  • That’s it for the 2016 Chart Year, and what a year it’s been. Check back for more details on my Top 100 of 2016 soon!
