Chart Notes:

  • Maryland’s O.A.R. has their eighth appearance on my personal chart with “I Go Through”. The song is new at #38, making it this week’s Highest Debut. It’s the first radio single from the hits compilation XX, a two-disc set that includes an album of studio cuts and a second of live tracks. Their biggest chart hit remains “Shattered (Turn The Car Around)”, which spent five weeks at #2 in the fall of 2008.
  • Just below them is an act scoring their fifth top 40 hit this week. MAGIC! comes in at #39 with “Red Dress”. The quartet is following up their recent single “Lay You Down Easy”, which hit #22 about two months ago. Both singles are taken off their album Primary Colours. In 2006, a completely different song called “Red Dress”, sung by the Sugababes, hit my top 20.
  • Finally, at #40, is the duo High Dive Heart and “Misfit”. It’s their first time on my chart, but in 2015, they charted on the Viral lists that Spotify generates with “Vintage”. That song officially reached #50 on the Hot AC listing in March. Last week, the two released a new song called “Playground”. (It’s not a hot Another Bad Creation cover.)
