Chart Notes:

  • Troye Sivan has one of the biggest songs on my chart so far this year with “Youth”, a three-week #1 that currently falls to #37, down a spot from last week. This week, he lands my Highest Debut at #35 with an updated version of “Wild”. The new mix features singer Alessia Cara. Both of those tracks (“Wild” in its original form) can be found on Blue Neighbourhood, which Sivan released last year.
  • The New York duo Phantogram had a big top five Alternative hit in 2014 with “Fall In Love”. That song didn’t quite make my chart, but their new single is definitely catching on with me. “You Don’t Get Me High Anymore” comes in at #36. It’s off to a great start at radio, and should continue to do well through the late summer and early fall.
  • Following their international smash “7 Years”, the Danish quartet Lukas Graham is hitting U.S. radio with “Mama Said”. It’s a new entry at #38 this week. The song interpolates the popular “It’s The Hard Knock Life” from the musical Annie.
  • Lastly, at #39, is the third top 40 single from The 1975‘s I like it when you sleep, for you are so beautiful yet so unaware of it album. “Somebody Else” follows “The Sound”, which recently hit #3 and comes in at #31 this week.
