NEW MUSIC FRIDAY: Releases For The Week of April 29, 2016

Views to a kill.

Views to a kill.

May is just around the corner… may we have some more superstar releases? Of course! Canada, country and compilations take over the list on this fine Friday. Here are this week’s new releases:

  • DRAKE — Views (iTunes)
    • Featuring the current radio hit “One Dance”, this Canadian rapper’s latest effort is going to have a giant debut on a number of charts next week. The album is an Apple exclusive for its first seven days, but is expected on both digital (outside of Apple) and physical platforms after that. Will it hit a million copies sold first week?
  • MARTINA MCBRIDE — Reckless (iTunes)
    • The title track from this set has been spinning on Cumulus’s dozens of country radio stations. The single isn’t going to make the top 40 at the format, but the album is a different story. It should make the top 15 on the Billboard 200 chart, or even the top ten.
