Chart Notes:

  • Talk about a notable debut! This week’s Highest Debut at #37 is “Pillowtalk”, the first solo single by Zayn Malik, who is just going by Zayn nowadays. It’s the first single from Mind Of Mine, which is released on March 25. The single’s already hit #1 in dozens of countries on iTunes, including the U.S. chart, and Spotify streams total a massive five million globally in just a day or so. A few acquaintances of his are also taking their spot on the chart…
  • As their former #3 hit, “Perfect”, continues to fall down the chart, One Direction find themselves on the countdown with a debut at #39, “History”. It’s the third single to chart from their Made In The A.M. album. Of course, their newest single is a top 40 entry in the same week that one of their former members also enters, and we’ll see how fiercely they compete on a run towards the top.
  • Next week, it looks like it’ll be a battle between The Strumbellas, That Poppy and The 1975 for the highest new entry. Find out who takes it on my first February chart!
