Chart Notes:

  • This week’s Highest Debut is by newcomer Ruth B and her six-second Vine turned single titled “Lost Boy”. It enters at #37 in the countdown. Born Ruth Berhe, the performer from Edmonton, Alberta, Canada is well on her way to becoming one of 2016’s top new breakouts. Her EP, The Intro, was released in November, and both the single and set are still selling well.
  • A notch lower is the debut of Miike Snow‘s “Genghis Khan”, new at #38. The trio has had several singles rank on overseas charts, but this is their first time successfully climbing the Alternative radio chart (as well as my own.) iii is due on March 4.
  • Lastly, at #40, it’s Brian Fallon with his first entry outside of The Gaslight Anthem, “A Wonderful Life”. The 35-year-old New Jersey singer celebrates his birthday on the 28th. His solo album, Painkillers, heads into stores on March 11.
