Chart Notes:

  • Soaring twelve notches from 40-28 is this week’s Biggest Mover, “Out Of The Woods” by Taylor Swift. It’s the sixth song to be released to radio from 1989. The previous single, “Wildest Dreams”, recently peaked at #2 on my chart, and is on the way down now. Swift co-wrote and co-produced “Woods” with Jack Antonoff. A music video is due for it on December 31.
  • This week’s only new entry is from South African singer and YouTuber Troye Sivan. He bows in at #40 with “Youth”. It’s the first radio single from the album Blue Neighbourhood, which was released earlier this month and debuted at #7 on the Billboard 200. It goes for CHR/Pop radio adds on January 19. Is Sivan on the verge of his first American hit? We’ll see.
  • With Christmas behind us now, plenty of songs are on the move just below the survey. Will new acts like AudioDamn! or Shawn Hook grab their first hit on my chart? Can Ellie Goulding or Mike Posner add to their top 40 totals? You’re a week away from finding out! Check back next Sunday as we dive into the first chart of 2016.
