Chart Notes:

  • As Adele keeps a lock on #1 for the third week, her “When We Were Young” is this week’s Highest Debut at #35. It is not a single just yet, but “When” is close to the top 40 on Hot AC radio based off of unsolicited airplay. That’s pretty huge. We’ll keep you posted as to what happens, but here’s hoping that it officially gets serviced in the new year to multiple formats. It is her eighth song to make my top 40 since her debut in December 2007.
  • Also debuting this week is Train‘s new rendition of “Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas”, entering at #40. It is one of three cuts that the band has at radio from their Christmas In Tahoe album. It’s also the first seasonal song to make my top 40 this year. With a few more charts before the big day, we could be seeing more as soon as next week.
  • Mark the date on your calendar! December 14 is the official start of my Top 100 of 2015, the annual review of my favorites from the year that was. Those updates will continue up through December 23, so get ready for another good one.
