Chart Notes:

  • Plenty of big movers on the survey this week with three songs moving up at least seven notches, but the one that takes the title of Biggest Mover is “Love Me Like You Do” by singer Ellie Goulding. Her soundtrack release from the Fifty Shades Of Grey film has either held or tied for the honor for three weeks in a row, this week on its own as it leaps from 25-15. Could it reach the top ten next week? Stay tuned.
  • The week’s Highest Debut comes from a new English trio called Life Of Dillon, consisting of members David Keiffer, Joe Griffith and Robert Griffith. The three debut at #37 with “Overload”, which was recently serviced to U.S. radio. It also marks the first song to hit for Disruptor Records, led by manager Adam Alpert, in conjunction with Epic Records.
  • Just below them is another new group to make my top 40, the California quartet Saint Motel. They enter at #38 with “My Type”, which just dented the top 40 in the U.K. for one week last summer. This time around, they’re approaching the top 40 on the Alternative chart with some strong support behind it.
  • Next week should see two to three new songs on the chart, with pop star Charli XCX and newcomers Fancy Reagan  in the lead to debut. Come back next Sunday to see what happens.
