TURN IT UP TUESDAY: What’s New In Stores This Week (December 3)

A scentimental affair from the "Perfume" singer.

Next one on my Brit list.

Can you believe it’s December already? Get your Christmas wish lists out because this week features one of the last big packs of releases for some time. Here are all the new albums and singles you need to know about for December 3:

  • With her first full-length album since 2011’s Femme Fatale, Britney Spears returns with Britney Jean, featuring the singles “Perfume” and “Work Bitch”. The singles haven’t performing as well from this one and the reviews are varied, but this should have a solid top 5 debut. (One Direction will likely be #1 for a second week with Midnight Memories.) (iTunes) (Read my review of Britney Jean.)
  • Country singer Jake Owen releases Days Of Gold, his latest studio album. The title track is a recent top 20 hit from the Country chart. (iTunes)
  • Coming off her #1 hit on the Urban chart, “It Won’t Stop”, the debut EP from Sevyn Streeter is out today. Call Me Crazy, But… features seven tracks, including that collaboration with Chris Brown. (iTunes)
  • The hills are alive with the sound of a remake… a live remake on television, at that. Carrie Underwood stars in an NBC live event telecast of the classic The Sound Of Music, and the cast soundtrack from it is available today. (iTunes)
  • On the Christmas circuit this week, check out the fourth Christmas compilation from the cast of Glee (iTunes) as well as Leona Lewis‘s Christmas, With Love (iTunes), featuring single “One More Sleep”.
  • Other albums out this week include Boston‘s Life, Love & Hope (iTunes), Glen Hensard‘s Drive All Night (EP) (iTunes) and a third television soundtrack from the show Sons Of Anarchy (iTunes).

New digital-only singles that you can buy this week include:

  • “Anything”, a recent Canadian top ten hit from the band Hedley. (iTunes)
  • “Change Me”, the latest Music Mondays release from Justin Bieber. (iTunes)
  • “Christmas In L.A.”, this year’s holiday release from The Killers featuring Dawes. (iTunes)
  • “John Doe”, new from B.o.B. and Priscilla Renea. (iTunes)
  • “O Holy Night”, a cover of the holiday classic from Megan & Liz. (iTunes)
  • “Snow In California”, another Christmas track from Ariana Grande. (iTunes)
  • “This Christmas Song” and “O Holy Night”, from American Idol contestant Angie Miller. (iTunes – TCS) (iTunes – OHN)

R. Kelly is next week’s big release, along with Childish Gambino and a Season 2 soundtrack to ABC’s Nashville. How will they do? A preview is coming in seven.
